ATLANTA, Ga. — Police are investigating after a 24-year-old man was shot late Friday evening in northeast Atlanta.

Officers responded to the 2400 block of Cheshire Bridge Road after reports of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers found the victim with gunshot wounds to his abdomen.

The man was taken to the hospital. The identity of the victim and current extent of his injury is unknown.

The investigation remains ongoing.
