DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County police are investigating after a brawl broke out at Towers High School in Decatur Tuesday morning.

The school was placed on lockdown all day after the fight broke out among more than a dozen students in a hallway around 10 a.m.

Police said that two teens and one adult have been taken into custody. They left the school in handcuffs. Their identities have not been released and it’s unclear what charges they are facing.

Video shows several students punching, kicking and roughing up other students while adults try to break it up.

School administrators sent a note to parents Tuesday afternoon, saying that the fight involved more than a dozen students.

Lakisha Spells, a school parent said she was visiting the school to have a meeting with administrators about a fight her ninth-grader was involved in, when a new fight broke out.

“You could see a huge crowd of kids,” Spells said. “Because I was a parent, they were trying to get me away from it and get me out of harm’s way, basically.”

Spells said that she’s worried her son will get attacked again.

“My son was jumped, beat up, punched in the face, kicked,” Spells said. “He had a broken nose. It’s not the life I want my son to live.”

Another parent said that the school’s principal was injured during the brawl.
