EAST POINT, Ga. — Police are investigating a deadly shooting where a “young male” was killed at the East Point MARTA station Sunday afternoon.

According to East Point and MARTA police, two suspects are in custody.

The victim was alive at the time he was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital and later died from his injuries.

The victim’s age and identity have not yet been released.

According to Maj. Matthew Carrier with MARTA police, the shooting happened at around 3:30 p.m. on one of the train platforms.

East Point police are assisting with the investigation.

MARTA officials confirmed normal operations are back on following the investigation.
