JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — One person is dead, one person is injured, and another is in police custody after a shooting in a Johns Creek neighborhood.

Johns Creek officers were called to a home on Bramshill Drive in the Hunters Forest neighborhood off of Jones Bridge Road just after 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

911 dispatchers alerted officers that they could hear shots being fired in the background of the 911 call.

Neighbors reported seeing several police cars show up in the neighborhood just minutes later.

Once officers arrived, they could hear more shots being fired inside the home and made their way inside.

Inside, they found one person dead and another who had been shot. The surviving victim was taken to the hospital where their condition is unknown at this time.

A third person, who has been named a person of interest, was also inside the home and was detained.

Investigators say they have no reason to believe that anyone other than the three people inside the home during the shooting were involved in the incident.

Detectives have not commented on the relationship between the three people involved.

Police have not released the deceased victim’s identity.
