The Food and Drug Administration is alerting restaurants and food retailers across the United States, about a seafood recall involving Manila clams.

The FDA says the clams were harvested in Drayton Harbor, Washington and may be contaminated with norovirus.

Norovirus is a highly contagious virus that can cause vomiting and diarrhea.

Officials say the recalled clams were shipped to nine states, including Georgia.
