An attempted home invasion in DeKalb County leads to gunfire. Now, one man is dead.

Several people apparently tried to break into an apartment on Lancashire Circle in Stone Mountain, where a couple lived with two young children.

Someone inside the apartment exchanged gunfire with the suspects. It's not clear exactly what happened next, but police believe one of the suspects tried to flee through a second-story window, hit a tree, and fell to his death.

Another suspect was found with a gunshot wound and taken to a hospital.

Police are still seeking a third suspect.
