SOUTH FULTON, GA — A South Fulton police officer has been arrested and fired after being charged with sexual assault.

Authorities say 30-year-old Michael Cockran is charged with sexual assault by a person with supervisory or disciplinary authority and violation of oath of office.

Officials say Cockran has been booked into the Fulton County Jail.
