ATLANTA — Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in southwest Atlanta on Tuesday evening.

Officers responded to the 900 block of Dewey Street just before 9:30 p.m. after reports of a person who was shot.

Upon arrival, officers found a man with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The identity of the victim was not released by police.

Investigators with the Homicide Unit responded to the scene to determine what led up to the shooting.
