ATLANTA — A former City of Atlanta employee is expected to get out of prison earlier than expected.

On Wednesday, a judge took two years off of Mitzi Bickers’ sentence.

Bickers was resentenced to 12 years on her conviction for accepting bribes to steer city contracts.

Officials say four of the wire fraud counts Bickers faced were dismissed because of recent Supreme Court rulings about the scope of federal charges.
