DECATUR, GA — A Decatur woman has pleaded guilty in the 2022 shooting death of her husband.

Officials say 45-year-old Iesha Harmon pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter.

She had insisted that the shooting of her husband, 44-year-old Shedrick Harmon was an accident.

However, officials say text messages between the couple and accounts from family and friends indicated a history of violence, drugs, alcohol use and infidelity in the relationship.

She is sentenced to 30 years in prison.
