Six months after a water main started leaking in northwest Atlanta, waters crews finally fixed the problem over the weekend.
Crews had to shut off water to several homes in Buckhead because of the break off Northside Parkway.
Residents say they told officials about the leak back in October.
Glennis Curry with Atlanta Watershed Management tells Channel 2 Action News they knew about the problem.
"We attempted to repair the valve previously, but because of the disruption of water service to the community, we interrupted that," says Curry.
Water was finally restored to the homes early Sunday morning. Crews had to shut down one lane of Northside Parkway to complete the work.
