Former Murda Ink songstress Ashanti  was recently scheduled for a show at Stony Brook University for their “Back to the Brook” concert. But, it seems the show will not go on.

When it came to sales, it appears that not enough people were interested in buying tickets, forcing the cancellation of the upcoming show.

According to Bossip, Stony Brook University issued a statement explaining citing "low ticket sales," as the reason for cancelling the performance.

“As an organization, we do our best to host programs for students while providing diversity and inclusion,” the statement read. “However, we have struggled to execute certain aspects. With only a week before the concert, only 24 tickets were sold to students.”

Teyana Taylor was originally slated to headline the event, but she reportedly pulled out two weeks prior, which gave very little time for the university to promote the event with Ashanti as the headliner.
