It may have taken a little while longer than usual, but Georgia finally has its running back for the 2023 recruiting cycle. Dell McGee was able to flip 4-star running back Roderick Robinson on Monday afternoon.

The San Diego, Ca., native flipped his commitment from UCLA following a visit to Georgia. It was his first visit to Georgia, yet Robinson had seen enough.

Robinson is the No. 15 ranked running back in the country and the No. 270 overall player in the class. Georgia sits with the No. 2 ranked recruiting class for this cycle, behind only Alabama in this class.

Georgia coach Kirby Smart sent out his customary “Go Dawgs” tweet for the second time on Tuesday, as the Bulldogs also added Sacovie White earlier in the day. He is a 3-star wide receiver in the 2024 recruiting cycle.

Robinson had also taken visits to Texas A&M, Tennessee and Oregon. The Bruins are off to a strong start this season, sitting at 6-0 and ranked as the No. 11 team in the country.

Georgia though is the No. 1 team and is coming off a game against Auburn where the Bulldogs rolled up 292 rushing yards, a season-best. Freshman Branson Robinson had a breakout performance for the Bulldogs, racking up 98 yards and a touchdown. He earned SEC Freshman of the Week honors for his performance, showing that running backs can make an early impact in the Georgia offense.
