As the Geminids meteor shower peaks this week, stargazers have been sharing their images of the show in the sky on social media.
Robert Lunsford from the American Meteor Society told CNN that the Geminids is the best, year in, year out.
“Normally, from let’s say the suburban area, under good conditions you could probably see 30 to 40 meteors (an hour),” Lunsford said.
Lunsford said the meteor show will still be a good one despite the moon being at 72% fullness, CNN reported.
Here are 10 of the most stunning photos that have been shared.

Don’t miss the annual Geminids meteor shower, peaking between Dec. 13-14. A waning gibbous moon will make it harder to view most of the shower, but the Geminids burn so bright, up to 30-40 should be visible per hour! https://t.co/UNdSYSK8CL pic.twitter.com/JlM0pKvL5P
