A former Marietta nurse is found guilty of sexually assaulting dozens of patients.
Paul Serdula, 47, had left his fate in the hands of Cobb County judge Reuben Green, who Monday ruled, "We find beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant committed each and every one of the counts that is contained in the indictment."
Serdula now faces several life prison terms, with a 25-year minimum.
"He did not want to put these women through...a trial, and having these photographs displayed in open court," Serdula's lawyer Jimmy Berry tells Channel 2 Action News.
Prosecutors said the registered nurse anesthetist had hundreds of videos showing him touching and assaulting anesthetized patients at several medical and dental clinics.
Serdula was also accused of videotaping potential victims.
Cobb County Police say he may have carried out similar crimes in other parts of the country.
He'll be sentenced later this spring. Several civil lawsuits in the case are also pending.
