The "Help Wanted" signs are out in Cherokee county. Hundreds of jobs are available all across the county and employers are holding a job expo today (Wednesday) from 2-6pm at the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Conference Center at The Bluffs located at 1130 Bluffs Parkway in Canton.
Sam Hall with the Georgia Department of Labor says there will be some six hundred jobs available. "You're talking about a wide range of jobs," says Hall.
The Expo will feature several of Cherokee County's largest employers in field like manufacturing, healthcare, information technology, customer service, retail and government.
Among the employer scheduled to participate are Aramark, Awnex, Belnick, Chart Industries, Cherokee County Sheriff's Department, Chick-fil-A, Cobblestone Mills FactoryMation, Fairways of Canton, Go Plastics, Inalfa, International Marble Industry (IMI), Morrison Products, Northside Hospital, Pilgrim's Pride, Pillow Perfect, Piolax, ProLogic ITS, Raydeo Enterprises, RBC Aero Components, RoyTec Industries, Schoen Insulation Services, Southeast Restorations, Stag Enterprises, Transtechnik, UAC, and the City of Woodstock police and fire departments.
Job seekers should bring plenty of resumes, be prepared to talk with employers, and be sure to dress appropriately to improve their opportunities for employment.
