MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. — An aggressive alligator was removed from a Florida road after stopping traffic Friday morning.
The 9-foot reptile was taken to a gator farm, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said on social media.
“It’s gator mating season,” sheriff’s officials said on social media. “This means they could be more mobile and aggressive than usual.”

Alligator mating season is from April through June, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
