DeKalb County Police have arrested a man for selling a young girl over the Internet.

Carlos Dollar was booked after a special unit from the DeKalb police department found a posting on the web.

"We came across an ad which depicted what appeared to be a young juvenile female being sold for sex acts.  We eventually were able to identify the female as a 15-year-old victim," DeKalb police Sgt. Dave Brown told Channel 2 Action News.

Brown says they're trying to determine if there may have been other girls who were victims.

"Start out by grooming them.  Perhaps, they'll be nice to them at first, give them gifts.  That grooming will continue and escalate up to the point of rape and physical beatings," said Brown.

Brown says the teen, which has been returned home, was taken to hotels across metro Atlanta.

"We're attempting to locate and identify further victims," said Brown.

The FBI is also investigating.
