ATLANTA — The Atlanta Beltline and Trees Atlanta are celebrating the world’s largest arboretum.
The arboretum stretches more than 12 miles along the city’s urban trail system, according to officials.
Greg Levine, director of Trees Atlanta, highlighted the mental and physical benefits of expanding the city’s urban garden.
The partnership plans to extend the arboretum to more than 16 miles of trail by this summer, with the full 22-mile loop expected to be complete by 2030.
