An accident involving a jet ski and an inner tube on Lake Lanier has sent two children to the hospital.

Hall County Fire Chief Steve Kimbrell tells WSB a boy and a girl were riding an inner tube when they were run over by a jet ski.

"The male juvenile was in critical condition," says Kimbrell. "The 15-year-old female is in guarded condition."

The 11-year-old boy was airlifted to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston with severe head injuries. The teenaged girl was also airlifted to the hospital.

The accident happened around 3 o'clock Friday at Van Pugh Park.
