SOUTH FULTON — The embattled mayor of South Fulton pleads not guilty to criminal trespassing and waives formal arraignment.

Mayor Khalid Kamau was arrested in July of 2023 after he entered a lake house on Cascade Palmetto Highway without permission.

At the time, the mayor told police he was looking at the house because he wanted to buy it and called it his “dream house”.

He’s due back in court November 3.

Kamau is running for re-election after initially saying he would not.
