Roswell, Ga. (April 12, 2022) – The Roswell Police Department has charged 55-year-old Rodney Damen of Roswell with multiple child sexual abuse crimes, and is encouraging any additional victims to come forward.

The Roswell Police Department was previously notified of a disclosure by an out-of-state juvenile of sexual abuse committed by Damen. Detectives immediately began to investigate the disclosure, which was reported to have taken place in Roswell. In the course of that investigation, with the assistance of the GBI, a search warrant was conducted on Damen’s home in the 500 block of Jasmine Pkwy on Oct. 20, 2021.

On that date, Damen was arrested and charged with the following offenses:

-One count of Aggravated Child Molestation

-One count of Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes

-One count of Possession of Child Pornography

Multiple electronic devices were seized from Damen’s home in the course of that search warrant. Over the intervening months, detectives have systematically analyzed the device’s contents. As a result, two additional counts of Possession of Child Pornography have been brought against Damen, who has remained in the custody of the Fulton County Jail without bond. As the investigation has progressed, detectives believe there may be additional victims of abuse perpetrated by Damen.
