The CDC’s wastewater surveillance testing shows the norovirus is spreading earlier and faster than usual.

Each year, there are about 2500 reported outbreaks of the virus in the US.

Health experts encourage vigilance through proper hand washing, frequently disinfecting surfaces and avoiding direct contact with those infected.
