ATLANTA — With the holiday shopping season approaching soon, some experts predict holiday sales could shatter records in 2025.

The National Retail Federation is forecasting sales will rise around 4% above the total for last year’s total, topping $1 trillion for the first time.

Retail sales in October, excluding autos and gas, has risen six tenths of a percent from September, which marks a year over year gain of five-percent which is led by apparel and digital products.
