Police say Brix is a tan-colored 7-year old male Belgian Malinois. His snout and ears are black. K9 Brix was last seen wearing a metal collar.

They say Brix was last seen in the area near 684 Winder Highway in Lawrenceville, when officers say he got distracted and ran after a nearby animal.

His handler and other K9 handlers searched the area including the woods, neighborhoods and nearby roads for Brix, while nearby officers, the police helicopters and officers from Lawrenceville Police all helped search.

Police are hoping Brix is still in the area of Winder Highway near Hosea Road. They are asking anyone who may see him to please call 9-1-1 immediately.

They also warn anyone who encounters Brix to not approach him because of his training.
