Forsyth County fire fighters were being slammed Wednesday afternoon with fires and accidents due to storms that are moving across the area.  Authorities tell WSB that damage reports are becoming more serious by the hour.

Fire Division Chief Jason Shivers tells WSB so far, no one has been injured, but there's been several house fires.  "We are working at three separate residential fires.  We also have several motor vehicle accidents with injuries and quite a few power line down phone calls, due to wind and lightening."

The Forsyth County 911 Center reports there are trees and wires down near Oak Grove Road at Piney Grove Drive.   Forsyth authorities also told DOT there is a power pole down on Highway 141 northbound at Stony Point Road.

Cummin resident, Jeff Powers, also called into WSB Radio and told us about some heavy rain, hail and winds in Cummin, GA.  Powers says this is one of the worse storms he's seen in years.   He got off the road and pulled into a Loews parking lot near Marketplace Blvd. to avoid the lightening and hail.  "The lightening was right on top of us at Exit 14,"  says Powers.
