ATLANTA — A former Grady Memorial Hospital nurse, who’s accused of sexually assaulting a 73-year-old patient, is denied bond Tuesday.

55-year old Chapple Lee is charged with rape, aggravated sexual battery and tampering with evidence.

The alleged victim, Eva Lay, died shortly after the incident occurred last October.

The family has sued the hospital.

Grady says after they were made aware of this allegation, it was reported immediately to law enforcement.
