Vincent Palmarini has gone from cop to criminal.
The former Euharlee Police Officer has pleaded guilty to several charges including sexual battery and has been sentenced to 25 years in prison, seven to serve.
"I think the system is triumphing in this case," said Bartow County Assistant District Attorney Elizabeth York to Channel 2's Mark Winne. "He knew how to work the system. I think that's the dangerous part," she said.
Allegations against Palmarini date back nearly decade including an assault against Julia Squires. She said she was delivering newspapers in 2005 when she encountered Palmarini.
"He proceeded to molest me for 45 minutes at least," she said, "while he talked filth and degraded me."
Palmarini has pleaded guilty to aggrivated assualt with intent to commit rape, false inprisonment and two counts of sexual battery involving another victim.
"The other three instances all occured while the defandant was on duty and in uniform," said York.
She said the plea bargain deal was the result of a series of incidents and allegations against Palmarini showing a pattern of sexually aggressive behavior.
