Cobb brewery closes its doors after more than 10 years

(KENNESAW, Ga.) — A Kennesaw craft beer brewery has closed its doors after more than 10 years of operating, though the owners say it’s not permanent.

Burnt Hickory Brewing first opened in 2012.

In a series of messages on social media, the brewery said they would be pausing all operations and closed their Moon Station Court location indefinitely on Wednesday.

The company said that the choice was “not an easy” one to make and that they were grateful for the support of their community and customers, but the “craft beer industry has changed and grown drastically.”

As a result, Burnt Hickory said they have to grow along with it, and focus on their community and taproom.

With the taproom closed, and operations on hiatus, Burnt Hickory Brewing said they were looking for a new location “that provides our customers with a top-tier space to enjoy” their beer offerings.
