JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — A busy road has reopened after a construction crew struck a major gas line and forced a closure in Johns Creek on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Johns Creek police, a construction crew on Jones Bridge Road at Sargent Road struck a gas line in the area around 4 p.m. which forced the road to close in both directions.

Fire crews and Atlanta gas crews responded to the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
