ATLANTA — Months after opening, the American Express Centurion Lounge inside Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport failed a recent Clayton County health inspection.

The American Express Centurion Lounge is located by Gate E11, in the International terminal at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. On Dec. 10, the members-only lounge failed its inspection with a score of 69.

Some of the violations include flies at the bar, a dirty ice machine and food left uncovered and sitting out at wrong temperatures.

A statement by American Express says: “We take these inspections seriously and have taken immediate steps to address the report.”

The health department has demanded a mandatory meeting with the people who run the lounge.
