It’s the most negative economic outlook since consulting firm Deloitte started keeping track back in 1997.
It finds that most people, 57%, say they expect the economy to weaken in the year head.
77% of those surveyed say they expect higher prices on holiday items and on average consumers plan to spend 10% less this holiday season because of it.
Gen-z is expected to pull back the most, they plan to spend 34% less than they did last year.
