ATLANTA — Police in Atlanta are investigating a shooting that left one person dead over the weekend.

Authorities responded to the 2600 block of Washington Ave. NW after a person down call around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Police found a male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

Homicide detectives are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation continues.
