CHROKEE COUNTY, GA — A Cherokee County man is facing charges of vehicular homicide and DUI after a weekend crash that left a cyclist dead.

Deputies say 42-year-old Lane William Keyes was impaired and speeding at the time of the crash. A preliminary report indicates Keyes may have lost control of his vehicle and struck a 51-year-old man who was riding a bicycle in the opposite lane of traffic.

Keyes is being held without bond at the Cherokee County Jail.
