GEORGIA — Georgians are swimming in credit card debt, ranking 6th in the nation, according to a study by Debt Relief Karma.

Georgians on average saw a more than 60% increase in credit card debt over the last decade.

Over the ten-year period, the average balance for Georgia residents increased by $1,570.

The latest figures available shows the average credit debt at more than $4100.
