You know her as Twanda Black, the Host of “Good News Gospel” every Sunday from 7am to 12 noon, but there is much more to the Tampa native. She is a wife and mother, an ordained minister, a published writer, an avid reader and an amateur photographer. Twanda is the Public Affairs Director for KISS 104.1 and is a part of the Community Affairs Team for CMG Atlanta as the Archive Editor, she hosts the magazine format talk show “Business in the Black” every Sunday from 5am-7am. Twanda loves that she gets to use her Public Relations/Communications degree earned at Berry College on a daily basis. “I love interacting with different people and organizations, it makes for interesting days,” says Black. Twanda volunteers her time and talent to various organizations, but her heart belongs to issues of the elderly, such as long-term care, conditions of nursing homes and quality of life. She can be found in and around Georgia hosting ceremonies, parties, shows, church events, awards dinners and other benevolent causes. Black was recently honored with the President’s (Obama) Lifetime Achievement Award for more than 4,000 Hours of Community Work and is honored as one of Atlanta’s Top 100 Women of Influence by the Atlanta Business League, Voted Steeple Awards “Best in Media” is a board member of Proverbial Peace Revived Ministries, Abel 2, The PG Network and See Your Kid, Inc. and in her spare time is a professional travel consultant. Twanda is married to Emery, proud mother of two adult sons, a 16 year old daughter and a member of Grace Baptist Church in Stockbridge, GA.
