What little snow there was has ended and skies are clearing behind the Polar Cold Front that passed through the Metro area.
Gusty winds will help dry the pavement so I still do not expect black ice to be a problem tonight or tomorrow morning, any icy patches will be the exception in the Atlanta Metro area.
Temperatures drop below freezing between 5 and 8 pm on the way down to lows by sunrise of 20-26 with Wind Chill Factor around 18.
Temperatures go back above 32F by 11 AM Wednesday. The map above shows the SOURCE REGION for the air mass coming into our area.
A big warm up still expected in time for SuperBowl weekend with highs around 60 so at least visitors and NFL can’t complain this go around.
