Warm Super Bowl weekend ahead

What little snow there was has ended and skies are clearing behind the Polar Cold Front that passed through the Metro area.

Gusty winds will help dry the pavement so I still do not expect black ice to be a problem tonight or tomorrow morning, any icy patches will be the exception in the Atlanta Metro area.

Temperatures drop below freezing between 5 and 8 pm on the way down to lows by sunrise of 20-26 with Wind Chill Factor around 18.

Temperatures go back above 32F by 11 AM Wednesday. The map above shows the SOURCE REGION for the air mass coming into our area.

A big warm up still expected in time for SuperBowl weekend with highs around 60 so at least visitors and NFL can’t complain this go around.
