Metro Atlanta Weather can be summed up in one word this weekend: Perfection!

Morning lows will start off in the mid 40s to low 50s, and afternoon sunshine will warm temperatures into the low to mid 70s on Saturday.

A southerly breeze will push daytime temperatures into the low 80s on Sunday, potentially setting a record daily high for the afternoon (Sunday’s record high is 79, set in 1974).

Take advantage of the warm, dry weather, because a pattern change will occur next week!

Rain Chances Next Week

Two rounds of rain will move through Metro Atlanta, with the first round occurring Monday afternoon through Tuesday morning. A cold front will push a line of rain and thunderstorms through North Georgia, producing as much as half an inch of rain through Tuesday.

The second round of rain will take place Wednesday morning through Thursday afternoon, as a surface low spins up over the Gulf of Mexico and moves north through the Southeast. Heavier rain is associated with this round -- as much as 1-2 inches of rain is possible through Thursday evening.

Futurecast Rainfall for Next Week

Rain showers and cloudy skies will put a damper on our afternoon temperatures! After a week with afternoon highs in the 70s to low 80s, next week’s temperatures will struggle to climb out of the 50s into the low 60s -- nearly a 20-degree temperature change from this week’s highs to next week’s afternoon conditions!
