Q: Are there any pruning classes available? I’ve Googled it, but would rather attend in person classes.
A: I’m with you on classes. I can’t get enough of them, whether online or in person! Especially since COVID, I have found Facebook to be a wonderful way to connect with your local Master Gardener groups. And they’ll often advertise free (or for a small fee) classes that they’re offering.
Trees Atlanta is another good one that offers Certified Tree Pruner courses. These are limited to certain times of year, but you can click here for some video resources.
Pike Nursery and other nurseries local to you may offer spring and summer in-store classes, covering a wide range of topics. Just give them a call!
Rick Smith of The Pruning Guru often speaks to local groups and gives great tips on pruning. You may even find some of his talks on YouTube or here.
Speaking of YouTube, that is a great place to find tutorials and Power Point presentations about pruning and all sorts of things!
Jim Putnam of HortTube.com is very knowledgeable about this and other topics.
