• Looking up to your art. Don’t balance out the room by hanging your pictures high on the wall. Rule of thumb – from the floor to the top of your pictures should not be higher than 72″.
• Everything matches. When all the colors are the same your eye is not drawn to anything in particular and the room will appear dull.
• Quantity over quality. Too much furniture, too many accessories, too many knick-knacks make a room feel crowded, cramped, and disjointed. Think grandma’s state fair plate collection here. One or two are nice. 37, not so much…
