Amazon’s Prime delivery robots coming to metro Atlanta this week

Your next Amazon delivery may show up in a new way—thanks to the Amazon Scout!

The cooler-sized autonomous electric vehicle makes it Atlanta debut this week.

It delivers packages by itself to utilizing a pre-programmed delivery route.

It’s designed to avoid obstacles in it’s path like pets and pedestrians.

The ‘Scout’ will make drop-offs Monday thru Friday during day light hours and be accompanied by person, to make sure all goes according to plan.

In addition to those workers, Amazon says they’ll team up with area STEM programs in schools and continue to build their Scout team here in Atlanta adding to the company’s more than 3,500-person-workforce.
