RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. — Twelve people have been arrested in connection with a shooting that killed two people in downtown Augusta on Saturday.
Authorities said at 6:35 p.m., deputies received reports of a shooting on Sand Bar Ferry Road at East Boundary.
When deputies arrived, they found five people who had been shot.
The Richmond County Coroner’s Office confirmed two victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
The other three victims were taken to the hospital. Their conditions are unknown.
The identities of the victims have not been released.
Deputies have not said what led to the shooting.
The following were arrested in connection with the shooting:

- Larry Sutton, 42
- Tysen Darrell Harper, 38
- Jonathan Keaton, 32
- Larry Ross, 44
- Deja Dotson, 30
- Cory Sapp, 30
- Jessica Sapp, 30
- McKayla Renee Rickett, 26
- Matthew Perry Willis, 28
- Freddie Wallace Crosson, 39
- Kenneth Lamar Taylor, 43.
At the time of this story, all of those suspects other than Keaton and Dotson face two counts of murder and one count of aggravated assault.
Officials did not specify if and when charges against Keaton and Dotson will be filed.
The investigation remains ongoing.
