Atlanta-based Delta Airlines has come up with its own fragrance, called "Calm." The lavender and chamomile scent is used in the cabins and on the towels provided to premium passengers.
An airline spokesman tells the Wall Street Journal, Delta has been using the scent for about two years. It was first designed to mask the odor of the lavatories.
Other airlines, including United/Continental, are developing their own perfumes. A marketing manager for United tells WSJ, their scent, "Landing," is intended to help passengers relax.
