The Georgia State Patrol has found the body of a missing army veteran from Atlanta.

31-year-old Randal Andrew Ackerman was last seen early Tuesday morning leaving a bar off Roswell Road in Buckhead.

But troopers found Ackerman’s body inside his car Thursday. The vehicle had gone down a hill off Johnson Ferry Road and Mill Creek. It appears the Ford Focus ran off the road and flipped.

Ackerman had gone out to the Braves game with friends on Monday and then was last seen at Hangover’s Bar in Buckhead early Tuesday. His friends reported him missing when he didn’t come home.

The time of the accident is not known.

Ackerman was honorably discharged from the Army after serving tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.
