Gwinnett County police took Demetrius Tyree Martin into custody Sunday after he was identified as the shooter in a homicide investigation at the hotel in Norcross.
Police say the 33-year-old Martin “returned to the scene while officers were still investigating the incident” at the Norcross Inn and Suites. It’s believed to be domestic related. Martin has been charged with Malice Murder and Aggravated Assault.

Gwinnett PD says officers responded to a Saturday night call at Bay Circle. A Hispanic male was found dead in one of the hotel’s room, with evidence of multiple shots fired.
