A huge round of applause for The Peachtree City Little League team as the boys come off the escalator wearing their team shirts at Hartsfield Jackson International Airport.

“It’s been amazing, it’s amazing…it's just the only way I can describe it” Player Cayden Olvey tells WSB Radio. His grandparents at the airport to pick him up.

His Grandmother, Christine Olvey tells WSB Radio “We’ve been glued to the TV and watched every game.” Olvey is a long time Peachtree City resident, asked what she thinks this does for the area “Oh, it’s definitely put them on the map.”

Randy Clem, Little League coach and parent of twin players Charlie and Wil Clem…says it’s been an “unbelievable experience, we couldn’t have imaged this, we had no expectations from the start, but to end up where we did, 4th in the world… you couldn’t ask for anything better and the kids had an unbelievable experience in Williamsport for 17 days, it’s just surreal right now.”

The team was given a police escort from the airport to their favorite restaurant Johnny’s Pizza in Peachtree City. Parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters and friends of the players all showed up to eat pizza and congratulate them on a job well done.
