ROSWELL, Ga. — A man’s body was discovered in the Chattahoochee River Monday morning, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources confirms.
The DNR said the body was discovered by civilians near the Wileo Creek boardwalk around 11:30 a.m.
The Roswell Fire Department and the Cobb County Dive Team recovered the body just before noon.
The male victim has not been identified and the body was turned over to the Fulton County Medical Examiner to determine cause of death.
It’s unclear how long the body has been in the water or if investigators suspect foul play.
