ATHENS, GA — A new economic forecast from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business predicts slower growth for Georgia in 2026.

It calls for the state’s economy to grow at a rate of about 1.5 percent, which would match the U.S. economy.

A UGA economist says the biggest concern is a slowdown in new job creation next year.
