WALTON COUNTY, GA — Two people were injured in a helicopter crash in southern Walton County on Wednesday morning.

Sheriff Keith Brooks says the FAA and NTSB have been called to investigate the crash.

The Bell 206 helicopter went down in a field near Mount Paran Church Road in Monroe, Georgia around 11AM.

The two people on board were conscious and alert when they were taken from the scene to a local hospital.
