New technology helped to track down a criminal as he drove into DeKalb County.

The Connect DeKalb System received an alert about a vehicle owned by a driver with multiple warrants.

K-9 and SWAT officers were able to track the car near the area of Redan Road and Holcombe Road.

There, officers arrested 76-year-old Algie Christian.

He’s facing charges of rape, aggravated sexual battery and child molestation.

Officers did not release any information about Christian’s victims or where the alleged crimes occurred.
